Season XV of the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) continues this weekend at Golden Gates Poker Parlour in Black Hawk, Colorado. The stop features a $1,650 buy-in Main Event that will be live reported right here on PokerNews.

Heartland Poker Tour East Chicago

That tournament kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, February 14, with Day 1a at Noon local time. Players will start with 30,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels. Days 1b and 1c will take place at the same time on Friday and Saturday respectively, with the surviving players from each flight returning for Day 2 action at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The final table will then be live streamed at noon on Monday, February 18.

The last time the HPT visited the 17-table poker room was back in September, which is when Wendy Freedman topped a 496-entry field to win a $167,696 first-place prize.

The latest series actually kicked off last weekend with a $400 buy-in Opening Event, which attracted 926 entries. The tournament ended when the final five struck a deal that saw them each lock up five-figure scores – Jeremy Hanke (1st - $42,047), Eric Pfenning (2nd - $35,087), Vincent Moscati (3rd - $33,605), Steven Kanowitz (4th - $26,493), and Jeremy Standiford (5th - $22,117).

Upcoming HPT Stops

PokerNews and the HPT plan to continue their live reporting relationship for stops throughout 2019. Those include visits to Hollywood Casinos in St. Louis and the Cincinnati area (Lawrenceburg, Indiana), The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Pittsburgh, and Ameristar East Chicago.
