Now, news comes that DraftKings is ready to take the next step by offering online casino gambling. As of December 18, 2018, the DraftKings online casino operation has been integrated into its sports betting platform. The first online casino game available is Blackjack, which is now fully operational.

The move into the online casino space has put DraftKings into direct competition with a number of Casino operation powerhouses. Currently, The Golden Nugget continues to lead the New Jersey online casino market with as much as $9 million a month in gaming revenues. Borgota is a distant second. Can DraftKings compete at that level? Given the popularity of daily fantasy sports, it would be a mistake to not recognize DraftKings as a big player in any market.

All eyes will now be turning to DraftKings' top fantasy sports competitor FanDuel, a company that is now part of Paddy Power Betfair conglomerate. In Europe, Paddy Power is a big player in the online gambling market. With access to a lot of online gambling resources, it would seem to be just a matter of time before FanDuel joins in the fray.
