Cheap Blackjack Tables On The Strip

Low limit blackjack allows real money gamblers to enjoy their card hobby at the lowest cost possible. Blackjack hasbetter odds for the player than any of the other casino table games, so you have a better chance to win money and are likely to lose less cash if you don’t than any other game in a casino. From a players perspective, finding low limit 21 blackjack gives them the best value in any casino, whether it’s live or online.

Land-based casinos need to turn their limited space into profits. Since they aren’t going to make much money with a low house edge at a low limit, you won’t find too many casinos offering lower limit classic blackjack tables. In the online gaming market, the dynamics are much different. Besides bandwidth, players don’t “take up space” they way they would in a brick-and-mortar casino. Also, players find it a lot easier to visit the competitor’s casino if they offer a much better game on the Internet. For these reasons, low limit blackjack is much more common.

There are about as many good cheap blackjack games on the Vegas Strip as you might have expected. In other words, there aren’t many. Where you do find good cheap blackjack you should expect that there are only one or two of these tables at most of the casinos listed below. Circus Circus – Odd, since it’s an MGM casino, but it runs a $5 blackjack game with decent rules. This find comes from blackjack expert Ken Smith when he shared it on a recent podcast episode. What Are Low Limit Blackjack Games?

Most players consider $5 blackjack or lower to be “low limit”. It’s a relative term, because gamblers have different bankrolls and revenue streams. Some people might consider the lowest limit blackjack like $3 or even $1 games to be the truly low bets, while high rollers might consider $25 maximum to be too low for their tastes. What I’m talking about in this article is blackjack for five dollars or less.

Why Play Low Limit Blackjack Online?

Many gamblers have a limited bankroll and can only play responsibly at a low limit table. Beyond that, the low limit tables allow new players to learn the game and try different strategies, while still feeling the excitement and entertainment of real money table games. Low limit blackjack lets you get a feel for how blackjack plays beyond the strategy tips you might read in a book, on an online how-to page, or even in a video tutorial. Players can find free games online, even at their favorite real money casinos, but this is about like playing blackjack against yourself as both dealer and player.

Most people gambling online probably consider themselves reasonably good classic blackjack players, but that doesn’t mean they can immediately pick up the nuances of all the blackjack variants online. Learning how to play at a low limit blackjack table is especially important when you’re trying to branch out into games like pontoon, perfect pairs, match play 21, double exposure (face up 21), Spanish 21, super 21, and European blackjack. These games have different basic strategy charts and side bets to learn, so a player wanting to try out these games aren’t going to want to risk as much as they normally might. Online casinos are less likely to have as many of these tables available, so finding the low limit games of blackjack variants is a particular boon.

$1 Blackjack Online

Players can find $1 blackjack online with relative ease. Several casinos already offer this low limit game, while several others have promised to open up online tables for these limits soon. £1 online blackjack is also being promised by several of the largest European and UK sites. Gamblers can even find games for as low as $0.50 or 50p, so look for these if one US dollar, UK pound, or Euro is too rich for your blood. These are likely to be the lowest online blackjack limits you’ll find, at least at reputable sites which are licensed and regulated by the proper authorities. You might find penny blackjack limits somewhere, but I don’t know of any of the legit online casinos offering those tables right now.

Low Limit Blackjack in Las Vegas

Cheap Blackjack Tables On The Strip

If you want to play low-limit blackjack in Las Vegas, try any of the “off the Strip” casinos. Over the past few years, Poker Palace on North Las Vegas Boulevard had $1 blackjack. Both of these casinos have offered blackjack for $5 or less in the last few years. El Cortez, Ellis Island, The Four Queens, and Slots-a-Fun have advertised low limit twenty-one in the last few years. Places on the Boulder Highway like Nevada Place or Jokers Wild. Terribles in Pahrump also offers low limit blackjack-21, but that’s going to take upward of an hour to reach. Alternately, you can try the casinos in North Las Vegas or Henderson, Nevada.

If you’re searching for low limit blackjack on the Vegas Strip, try places like Orleans Casino and Circus Circus. Just about any of the casinos downtown or on the Strip are going to set their low limits at $5. Casinos off the Strip might set theirs to $1, $2, or $3, though the most common is the $2 limit on blackjack. Many of these are even single-deck games.

Low Limit Blackjack in Atlantic City

Atlantic City offers even fewer low limit tables. In fact, you aren’t likely to find tables for less than $10, and even those can be rare. Atlantic Club City Hotel, which used to be known as the Atlantic City Hilton or ACH, is best known for its $10 tables. Since the hotel and casino has undergone a change in management, these tables may not longer be available. Casinos like Bally’s, Borgata, Tropicana, and Trump Plaza are known to offer $25 tables, though Bally’s sometimes only offers tables at $50. Harrah’s and Showboat Casino offer $50 limits, while Trump Taj Mahal is only going to offer $100 limits. No wonder Atlantic City wants to open up a sportsbooks to save their casino industry.

Low Limit Blackjack Etiquette

When you walk up to a low limit blackjack table, don’t suddenly become an elitist in terms of play and blackjack etiquette. The low limit tables are likely to have the less serious players, the beginning players, and the low-dollar gamblers. Understand you’re not expecting to see world class blackjack players who know the game, make the correct play every single time, and keeps the game flowing constantly. While I advise casino players to walk into a casino knowing their game simply for the sake of saving money, you’re more likely to find first-timers at the low dollar blackjack tables. Keep that in mind when sitting through a low limit blackjack game and hold your tongue.

I didn't realize that any casinos anywhere in the world offered $1, $2, or $3 minimum Blackjack tables.
1) This doesn't seem to be a topic discussed much anywhere. In lieu of e-mailing the casinos, can anyone tell me which Las Vegas casinos offer these 'cheap' tables. I 'Googled' this topic, and found, for example, that the Casino Royale, Ellis Island, and several casinos in North Las Vegas used to offer these games - but this info. was outdated. I would sure appreciate any current information on which casinos offer a Blackjack game with player-favorable rules (e.g., 3:2 Blackjack instead of 6:5) with $1, $2, or $3 minimim Blackjack.
2) Are there any out of the ordinary things to expect at such tables, besides lots of players and people who may not be especially skilled as to how to play blackjack?
3) By the way, what is a typical maximum bet at such tables - $25?, $100?

In addition to the very fair Longhorn/Bighorn (same game, different casinos) and Hacienda games that are listed in the survey, Jokers Wild and Poker Palace both spread $2 games.

The cheaper/dirtier/further away from the strip the casino, the cheaper the game -- that's a good rule of thumb.
I like the Klondike Sunset for their $2 game, open late afternoons and evenings (sometimes).
$1 games are rarer than the Dodo. Parse that as you will. Jokers was $3 when I went there last. Ellis Island is usually $5. Casino Royale no longer has blackjack. Poker Palace is fun, as is Jerry's Nugget. I wouldn't recommend the 'Horns.

don't online casinos work for this?

Places I've seen plenty of $3 blackjack :: Laughlin, Primm and Jean. There was also $3 at two casinos on the route out the Hoover Dam (Hacienda and Railroad pass, I think are their names).
I've also played $3 Jack in various Washington State casinos.

On Boulder Highway, The Longhorn (a REAL dive) right by Sam's Town and Cannery-East has many tables of $2 BJ.
Also on Boulder Highway further down, Joker's Wild: $3 everything, and $2 Three-card poker. Gotta love it.
